Clever Cloud simplifies payroll management

DOTNET, a SaaS software publisher, offers solutions designed to simplify the day-to-day management of businesses.

Its flagship product, Fiche-Paie.Net, helps managers to effectively manage their employees’ pay and their own, guaranteeing simplicity, compliance and savings.

However, like many companies, DOTNET was facing technical and strategic challenges with its previous hosting, before migrating its payroll software to Clever Cloud.

Find out from Stéphane Alligné, CEO of DOTNET, how migrating to Clever Cloud gave DOTNET peace of mind.

A need for sovereignty and scalability

Before migrating its infrastructure to Clever Cloud, DOTNET was experiencing limitations on several fronts:

  • Lack of availability: Recurring micro outages were disappointing on a daily basis, both for DOTNET and its customers;
  • Lack of scalability: The increase in workload during critical monthly periods, such as payroll management or nominative social declarations (DSN), slowed performance considerably;
  • Storage and management of sensitive data: Hosting critical information such as national insurance numbers and tax data, DOTNET needed a solution that would guarantee complete data sovereignty, with servers located in France.

There are data and confidentiality issues at stake. I’m taking this sovereignty issue head on. […] In other words, I need my data to be located in France. And I also need it to be scalable. […] Clever Cloud met our needs in this respect.”

A successful migration to Clever Cloud

The migration of DOTNET’s infrastructure to Clever Cloud went off without a hitch, a first for the executive with 20 years’ experience in tech. This fluidity enabled the team to concentrate on improving their applications without being held back by interruptions or technical complications.

I buy serenity when I switch to Clever Cloud.

The benefits of Clever Cloud

Stéphane Alligné and his teams have seen significant improvements since the migration:

  • Optimised performance: thanks to the scalable infrastructure, seasonal load variations no longer compromise the fluidity of services;
  • Enhanced security: Critical data management is simplified and secured, with strict compliance with European standards;
  • Responsive, human support: The DOTNET team appreciated the responsiveness of the teams during the incident on 2 August 2024 and the direct communication with Quentin Adam, CEO of Clever Cloud.

Why Clever Cloud?

DOTNET chose Clever Cloud’s PaaS solution because, for Stéphane Alligné and his teams, it fulfilled three key requirements:

  • Sovereignty: Hosting in France, guaranteeing the protection of sensitive data;
  • Scalability: An infrastructure capable of adapting to load peaks without compromising performance;
  • Support: a responsive team ready to anticipate and resolve problems before they affect operations.

Sōzu 2.0 — turning a reverse proxy into a programmable edge

Sōzu is the reverse proxy that sits in front of every application running on Clever Cloud. After eighteen months of work — first the HTTP/2 multiplexer, built on our existing kawa pivot, then almost every other layer of the proxy, and finally a long run in production on the cleverapps.io load balancers — Sōzu 2.0 is out.

K3s vs K8s: What Are the Differences and Which One Should You Choose in 2026?

Kubernetes has become the standard for container orchestration. But depending on your infrastructure constraints (limited resources, edge computing, IoT, or large-scale enterprise clusters), the distribution you choose can radically change the operational experience. K3s and K8s (upstream Kubernetes) address different needs, even though both share the same CNCF-certified foundation.
